Welcome to Blumi — why we built it

June 24, 2026

A short note from our team on what Blumi is for and who we built it with.

Blumi started in a kitchen in Sydney, on the back of a long week and a longer conversation about the tools families and support teams wish they had.

The tools we kept finding were either built for clinicians (and forgot about the participant), or built for parents (and forgot about the team). Almost none of them felt designed for the actual human at the centre.

What we're trying to do

Blumi is one calm place where the participant, their family and their team can all show up — with the right permissions, the right tone, and as little friction as possible.

That means:

  • Plain language. No "non-compliant", no jargon, no five-syllable form labels.
  • Strength-based. The product nudges you towards what's going well, not just what's wrong.
  • Predictable. The same buttons in the same place, every time. We know how much that matters.

Who's it for

We built Blumi alongside autistic adults, ADHDers, parents of neurodivergent kids, NDIS support workers, occupational therapists and a couple of very patient teachers. Wherever you sit in that picture, you should feel at home.

What's next

We're shipping new things gently — small enough that you can keep up, big enough to make a real difference each week. Tell us what you'd love next at hello@blumi.app.

Thanks for being here.
