Five small habits that make the partnership work.

Your support coordinator is on your team. The relationship works best when you treat it as a partnership.

Habit 1 — Share the plan early

Give them access (or a copy) of the current plan as soon as it's signed. They can't help if they're guessing.

Habit 2 — Agree on cadence

A monthly fifteen-minute check-in beats a frantic email every fortnight.

Habit 3 — Bring decisions, not just problems

"We're choosing between Provider A and Provider B — what do you think?" lands much better than "what do we do?"

Habit 4 — Keep one shared log

A single place where you both note milestones, frustrations and changes. (Blumi works well for this, but a shared doc is fine too.)

Habit 5 — Say thank you

Coordinators carry a lot. A short message at the end of a tricky month goes further than you'd think.
